Location

Discovery West is located on the West side of town, near NorthWest Crossing, and is actually build by the same developers. It's right next to Summit High, Pacific Crest Middle School, and William E Miller Elementary, which are all highly rated schools. 

Amenities

There's a great mix of businesses in the area, including pediatric centers (like COPA), coffee shops, gyms, and great community areas like Discovery Park and Market Hall. It's also situated next to some of the best restaurants Bend has to offer. No matter where you choose to eat, it will be delicious! 

Discovery Park boasts a large pond, where you will spot wildlife as you walk or bike on the paved trails. Or maybe you'd like a big, grassy field to sprawl out and have a picnic, or play some soccer. The little ones will love playing in the natural play area near the pond and then go for ice cream at Market Hall nearby. (Or is that just me?!) 

Market Hall is what I like to call "an upscale cafeteria." That's because you have an array of options for food (like a mall food court) and large tables to share with friends and neighbors. My favorite things there are the fish and chips from Sebastian's Seafood and Specialty Market and the Italian Meatballs from Sunny's Italian Joint. Of course, you can't go wrong with some Thai food, ice cream, or coffee from Thump. 

There are also over 200 acres of open space and miles of hiking and biking trails nearby, where you can awe at the mountain views or have access to the Deschutes River. Plus, downtown is just a 5-minute drive, and the Old Mill is about a 10-minute drive, which have many more restaurants, parks, shops, trails, and activities. 

Community is a big aspect of this neighborhood. With a dog park to take your furry friends to and a community garden, you can get to know your neighbors and surround yourself with people who might just end up being your adventure partners on that next bike ride or paddle boarding day.
